When an interest in Truth is the driving force, fear is outweighed. No need for mustering up courage, because courage just seems to spontaneously arise in the perfect amount for the discovery. Where will you place your attention? On the interest and attention to Truth? Or on the fear of what will you discover? Wherever you place your attention is what you feed and fuel. My experience is that attention on Truth just takes care of fear.

With attention on what is true, courage spontaneously arises. This courage feels more like a direction. It feels more like an inextricable and unstoppable pull. It feels more like a wind guiding than a pushing force that is making things happen. It arises spontaneously and fuels the action of discovery as it moves and explores. It also consumes a whole lot less energy than pushing through fear or fixing fear.

It is no small thing to discover you aren't who you thought you are, or that the beliefs you've held dear and have shaped your life aren't even true. Shake up inwardly and outwardly, and fear of what is happening to you is natural. It's part of the ride. Life exposes everything you need to awaken, if you only just meet it rather than try to stop it or get rid of it. Resistance fuels what you resist. Meet what is here. Meet everything as your friend, even fear.

Keep your attention on truth and all that is not true will dissolve. It just does. That's the way of it. And the truth is, there is nothing to fear. When you awaken, you know no desire or fear. As you awaken, you drown in desire and fear. So drown. The way is through. And life will meet you with its Truth as you dive under.
