tips

The following tips may help you get more out of a consultation.

  • Choose your questions.
Decide what topics you want insight on in advance, and ask the most important question first. It is fine to ask for overall guidance and suggestions, but feel free to be specific. If you think of the topic, I'll help word the question for the highest guidance.
  • Be calm.
The more relaxed you are, the more you will be able to take in. Be ready for your appointment 10 minutes ahead of time so you are not rushing and more relaxed. It's great to use that time to take slow, deep breaths and focus on your questions. You can also focus on the intention to receive the insight you need for right now.
  • Ask for clarification.
Feel free to ask questions or ask for clarification at any time. It's fine to discuss something and may help me tune in more specifically for you. It's also fine to just listen to whatever insights come.
  • Be open.
Be open to new possibilities. Be open to answers to your questions. The more open you are, the more ability you have to learn and enjoy (true in any learning situation). Listen. Notice if the insights resonate truth to you. Then make your decisions about what is right for you now.
  • Be gentle with yourself.
If something brings up a strong emotional reaction in you, that is probably an area with deep patterns. Take your time with it. You don't need to figure it all out in the moment. Just be open to new possibilities in this (and all) moments so you flow with change and new experiences.
  • If you want to tape the session or take notes, feel free.
Recording or taking notes may help you be relaxed so you can more fully listen. A record may help you listen to the specific words later, so you can interpret them more accurately. Listening 3-6 months later may be especially amusing and interesting, as oftentimes part of the message is preparing you for what energy could be flowing into your life. With this said, however, I believe that the important messages sink in without any notes at all.
  • Don't expect me to be perfect.
No therapist, doctor or friend will always be perfect, nor will any intuitive. If you let go of that expectation from the beginning, it will actually be easier for you to listen and integrate the helpful insights you receive.
  • Reflect afterwards.
Plan to take some quiet time for yourself after a reading to reflect on your own intuitions about the messages. Then decide what actions you are going to take.
  • Look for messages around you.
If there is something you aren't sure about yet, ask your intuition questions in the following days to affirm what is true. Your intuition will find the perfect way to communicate what you need to know (whether a friend calls and says the same thing, or you see the same thing in a magazine article or on the radio, or perhaps in a dream).
  • Own your choices.
Your life is your life. Guidance is meant to give an objective perspective, but ultimately you are the one who is control of your choices. Never give your power or choices over to anyone. Take the insight and guidance in, then decide what makes sense for you for now.
  • Act on your decisions.
Turn your wisdom into experience. If you are hungry, it is far more satisfying to taste the banquet then just think about it. Share your experience with others. Enjoy your choices.

If you like, feel free to stay in touch and let me know how things are going for you. Not only do I not mind, I'm rooting for you. In fact, it actually helps me expand ways to teach. It also tickles me when someone thinks something isn't true, then six months later they call up to say it turned out exactly like that and the reading helped them. If you feel like sharing, then go right ahead.
